Harry Potter and the sorcerer's Stone report
About the writter:
Joanne Kathleen Rowling was
born on July 31, 1965 in a small British locality, near Bristol, in the
southwest of the island. After a brief stay in Yacht, her family changed to
Winterbourne, environment in which there were forged the first recollections of
the imaginative girl, who was happening hours sharing dreams and fantasies with
her sister. In Winterbourne the girls did friends between the neighborhood; one
of them was called Ian Potter. Made keen to adopting strange names for the
protagonists and places of her novels, many years later Joanne took this surname to give life to her famous
character.
During her adolescence she
wrote very much, but, with the exception of some entertaining stories, she
never dared to show his manuscripts to anybody. In 1992 she knew the one who was
his husband, with whom she had a daughter. But in spite of the harmonious
event, the marriage did not prosper and they ended divorced. In 1996 Joanne
decided to return to Britain, where she came with the firm intention of
finishing and publishing a novel about Harry Potter, a child character with
magic power, which wanderings she had imagined enough time behind during an
endless trip by train between Manchester and London.
Characters and Roles:
Harry Potter:
He is the main character of the
history. He lost his parents and had to live with his uncles who made him think that his parents had died in a
car accident for 11 years. He had a scar in the forehead coming from the night
in which his parents died. His uncles disregard him for being a magician, which
harry didn´t know until his 11 birthay. At the same time, he was invited to the
Hogwarts school of witchcraft and wizardry, he was a creative, humble and a good
classmate
Lord Voldemort:
He is the killer of the parents
of Harry and studied in Hogwarts. His principal mission in this history is to
take over the sorcerer´s stone to obtain
the eternal life, for which he gets hold of the body of the teacher Quirell
(the teacher of defense the dark arts). He was wicked and spiteful.
Ronald Weasley:
He is the penultimate son of a
magicians' family, good playing chess and he is the best friend of Harry
Hermione Granger:
She is a daughter of muggles
and the best friend of Harry. She is very intelligent, she liked to study, she
is a good friend and very respectful.
Albus Dumbledore:
He is the director of the
Hogwarts school of witchcraft and wizardry, and he is the best magician of last
times. He discovered the 12 applications of the blood of dragoon and he is the
creator of the sorcerer´s stone.

Severus Snape profesor of
potions, Rubeus Hagrid, Draco Malfoy the enemie of Harry, Professor Quirell the
teacher of defense against the dark arts, Minerva McGonagall the profesor of
transformations and the leader of Griffindor and Neville Longbottom.
Synopsis of the book:
The history begins when Harry is left in the
house of his Uncles Dursley, by Rubeus Hagrid, Albus Dumbledore and Minerva
McGonnagall. There they mention that Lord Voldemort, the most dark magician of
these times had been defeated, after trying to kill Harry Potter who survived
making him a scar in his forehead. As
consequence of the acts of Voldemort, the parents of Harry, Lily and James
died, and because of it Harry had to remain with his uncles. The book continues
ten years later, where we see that Harry
is not happy with his uncles and
he does not know that he is a magician.
Little before his birthday Harry receives a Hogwarts's letter, but he does not
manage to open it because his uncle, didn´t want him to notify that he can do
magic. The efforts of Vernon, his uncle do not prosper, and letters continue coming,
brought strangly by owls. Tired of this, the family Dursley and Harry change to
a little house in an isle. The day of Harry's birthday, still in this little
house, Hagrid arrives to deliver him the letter personally, and to wishing
happy birthday him, Harry finds out about all the truth. The letter was saying
that Harry was invited to participate in the first year of the Hogwarts school
of whitchcraft and wizardry. Hagrid leads Harry to the Alley Diagon to buying
his things for the school where they go to the bank of the magicians, Gringotts, and discovered that his parents had left him a great fortune. With this he buys
a wand, books, and Hagrid gives him an owl. When harry get´s to the Hogwarts
school of whitchcraft and wizardy, he discovered that this one is divided in
four houses, Gryffindor, Slytherin, Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff. Soon, he would
belong of one of them and at the end he took part in the house called
Griffindor with his friend Ron weasly, a boy he had known in the train. After
many events they discover that in the third floor, to which they had been prohibited
to go, there was a dog that was taking care of the mysterious sorcere´s stone.
This one was wished by the assassin of the parents of Potter, lord Voldemort
who faces in a fight with Harry in which at the ends he lose. Finally, the
danger disappears of Hogwarts and Griffindor, the house to which Harry Potter
concerned, wins the glass of the houses.
Setting:
Harry Potter and the sorcerer´s
Stone was published on 26 of June, 1997 in England, at first. The history develops in the
country of England, but it takes as the principal place the Hogwarts school of
whitchcraft and wizardy.

I In my opinion, this book is very interesting cause it shows how a boy who doesn´t know anything about magic manage to surpass himself and to reach his achievements and challenges, besisdes, it is entertaining and great
